SENSATIONS

What was the Golden Age of Sports Cars?  It was a period that spanned the decades from the 1950s up to the 80's and was a time when a driver could race a car on weekends (hopefully winning) and drive it to work on Monday.  It was a time of relatively inexpensive sports cars available from Britain, Italy, Germany and America that let you drive the car according to your own capabilities.   It was a time when sports cars’ drivers would wave to each other when passing and were always eager to talk of their favorite machines.  It was a time that I hope can return someday.

It was a time before today's Gilded Age of Sports Cars where the car is telling you how you should be driving automatically - where are the manual transmissions? - and where the prices of many are approaching the stratosphere, and where the selection is sparse.

So give me the cars of the Golden Age which can still be found in ads in collector car magazines, and sometimes in enthusiasts’ barns or garages, and then enjoyed.  There’s many still out there somewhere so you can relive those days of hands-on and seat-of-the-pants driving, and who knows, even win a race or two.

I shall update these pages as more content is added and welcome any questions or comments that you might have.
